Elvis Soul

Good evening friends,

Some of you guys, that have been around here for a while (well actually it would have to be since BEFORE this site was created, and we were still hanging out at the forum of For Elvis CD Collectors Only) might remember a design I did titled Elvis Presley - Soul.

Well it is no longer available there, so I thought I would change a couple of things (you know how it is, a couple of months after you created a design you see some things you want to change, not to talk about a couple of years ago) and then make it available for download here.


For you guys that remember the original design, I have lightened the colours a bit, completely changed the insert and made a few minor changes here and there.

One Word LOVELY and it Printed much better than Your 1st Version - I Replaced it with this and even Your Label Printed in better Quality - I love the Front Inside.

I edited "Let Yourself Go" from the Comeback-special and omitted the instrumental part where Elvis fights the Big Boss Man. I'm not a pro so if you listen closely you will notice where I cut it, but it works for me! If someone is intrested I could post it here tonight or tomorrow night.

It's even better this time around. I remember how that hands in the pockets photo made quite an impact (well, the entire design did, but...) as it seemed to have been unseen by most until you posted it.

As has been mentioned, your track selection is to be applauded nearly as much as your artwork. I am sure that CD does make for a great listen.

Unchained - Thank you very much for your comment!! :D that I don't have a problem with letting a lot of space breath, is probably because I am from Scandinavia and that is part of our design heritage.
Bobby - Yes, at that time that picture got som attention, now it doesn't seem at all as fresh and cool as it did then to me, but I think it still looks good with the whole package. Thanks for you opinion!

Oh, about the tracklist. I remember that I started form a tracklist a Swedish guy had allready made and added and removed until I was satisfied.

I love the artwork, especially how you've worked some of the song lyrics into the cover art....VERY CREATIVE!!! :cool:

The song selection is TOP NOTCH as well....some of my favorites!! Any chance we'll be seeing this one in CD stores soon??? :hmm: ;)

Thanks!! I actually just found it on the internet, can't remember if it was at Ebay or where it was... I really liked it though, I love the hat they put on Elvis :D The original photo is from King Creole for anyone that is interested...

Thank you, feels good to be back behind the computer. (y) You really notice how much you rely on computers when you have limited or no access to one! When I got back home I formated the computer though, and I still haven't gotten it back on track. Can't seem to get my soundcard to work... well, well, my bro said he could come tomorrow to check on it. He's better than me on those sorts of things!
