I was wondering if there were many versions/outtakes of Elvis singing with no instruments. I know there is a version of 'In The Ghetto' on the 30#1 special edition cd. Not sure if it's the full song? is there anymore out there?

Speaking of that take, the Vocal only. I went out and bought it for that reason! The Special Edition is what im talking about. That vocal only track, well, while the vocal is very much to the fore, you can still hear the instruments. I now how difficult it would be to isolate just the vocal, but, BMG shoulden't advertise something that isnt exactly what they say it is!
As for other isolated vocals, not that I know of. Elvis made it difficult, because he preferred to record 'ive', with the band oround him. I know he put a few things down in palm springs for Felton at one stage, they may in the future be released as vocal only. But I'm not aware of any other vocal only releases.
I thought that was the true vocal track, even though you do hear the other instruments. I didn't think that was something BMG created.
There are some more of those "vocal overdubs" (just Elvis' voice) available.
Two come to mind right now, and I'm sure there's one or two more...
Baby I Don't Care (Out In Hollywood - FTD)
Kissin' Cousins (Silver Screen Stereo)
Sonny
" Violet" I think is a track he sang Acapella - and what about " Steadfast loyal & true" I think that too though I could be wrong.
I wonder if the " If everyday was like xmas" is available with E' vocals only as he sang that as an overdub.
