On my 16m film, the week after I got it, I cut out all the Fan stuff
leaving a neat 32 minutes only of all the ELVIS PARTS
which is so much better.

I wish the tracks were separated better, so I don't have to hear about the Hawaiian Wedding Song when "Trying TO Get To You" Comes Through on my iPod's shuffle, and many other examples. Also, I'd like to arrange it into a more typical set list without having to hear the intos. out of order.
In my opinion FTD should release a 2CD-classic-albums version of EIC, including the "soundtrack version" (LP 1), the two concerts (undubbed), the released singles (e.g. Unchained Melody [overdubbed]) + maybe a best of the dubbed versions from LP 2.
By the way, not his best concerts from '77 but still including strong renditions of certain songs.

Perhaps because the mainstream audience is too stupid to recognize its quality even if offered on a silver platter.
In more recent times you have to have success first, regardless of quality, before anyone notices you. That's why this (mainstream) modern day humanity doesn't deserve any better than Idols and brain-death.
I may be taking this too cynical, but.. few would ever look past Elvis' health problems. It may be all right if they'd be confronted with it not knowing in what state of health he was in.
The strong songs stand and rank among the best of his work. Yes I do believe FTD could find itself a market if they'd make a more professional, less modified, release of this.
this is a good album and its a pitty that the special didn't include such performances like trying to get to you, if you love me... and uncahined melody although the sound was always a problem i'm glad that i have the japanese cd to enjoy it in great sound this is a cd that definetly deserves an up grade by ftd maybe?
I have the japanese double cd and on vinyl
This is a great performance (y)(y)(y)
