early morning rain by a mile, fools is a good song, but the delivery of 'rain' is just beautiful, in both 1971 and 73 when he recorded it.

Everyone is having so much fun with this "Battle of the Songs" thread, so I thought I would dig back into Elvis' 1950's ballads and pose this "battle" for everyone to consider...

My personal choice on this one is ANYWAY YOU WANT ME....I can't really give a reason, I just have always liked that one a little better!!

This is a tough one.....but if I can't declare a tie, I guess I'll give the edge (albeit it VERY slight edge) to A LITTLE BIT OF GREEN!!! (A VERY underrated song in my opinion!!!)
