A big Hunk for me, the piano at the begining is awesome (y)
"It's Now Or Never" or "Are You Lonesome Tonight" it's got to be "O Sole Mio" for me!
Matt
Are You lonesome tonight!!! I love when Elvis recites words.Quote:

I CAN'T BELIEVE that I am just now discovering this thread!! You guys and gals have created a FANTASTIC idea here!!! I've had a BLAST reading everyone's posts and their votes for the songs/albums!! And, now that I know this one is here, I'll DEFINITELY have to vote whenever I can!!!
What are you trying to do to me here pal??? Of course the minute I saw this, you know I had to answer it....so let's see... :hmm:Quote:

AND I LOVE YOU SO v. PIECES OF MY LIFE - I can clearly see why Elvis wanted to listen to the playback of this song after he recorded it more than 30 times!! This is simply one stunning performance....quite possibly my favorite Elvis ballad of all time!!!
SUSAN WHEN SHE TRIED v. SHAKE A HAND - SUSAN WHEN SHE TRIED is just such a cool song....I can't really describe it, it's just always been one of my favorites from the album! And I LOVE the outtakes of this song that were included on the 6363 SUNSET FTD release!!!
GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME v. BRINGIN' IT BACK - Although they are both beautiful ballads, I have to give the vote to BRINGIN' IT BACK....it's just a well performed song, which flows really well. The melody of the song is a bit unique for Elvis, which I think lends to the increasing popularity of the song amongst fans! This would have been a COOL song for Elvis to have added to his live shows!!
THANKS EVERYONE FOR A VERY ENTERTAINING THREAD!!! (y)
TCB!

...And--surprise--we picked the same songs! :D
You copied me again, didn't you??? :D ;)Quote:

TOMORROW NEVER COMES VS WHERE DID THEY GO LORD!!!(my winner is Tomorrow)
I've been neglecting this thread for a while. Here are my answers to the last few...
TOMORROW NEVER COMES
'A Big Hunk O' Love'
"Hard Headed Woman"
Viva Las Vegas
Tomorrow wins over where did they go lord for me. listen to this delicate performance, its just beautiful. i have been singing this beautiful song on guitar, and to myself lately, and i plan to record it when i hopefully get a singing career together, as i'm getting singing lessons now, and i hope to record songs that were really unknown, and underrated.
Obviously you guys are bored with this thread, arent you???
Ill try again: I GOTTA KNOW VS GIRL NEXT DOOR WENT WALKING!!!(I go for GOTTA KNOW)
I agree with the Today choices and `Tomorrow Never Comes'.
Yes, we are all individuals!!!
rick
My pick would be I Gotta Know. :)
my choice is ive gotta know:cool:
TOMORROW NEVER COMES!! (I love the way his voice soars at the end of the song!)Quote:

Ooh....that's a tough one....can I declare a tie? :hmm: ;)
If I can't declare a tie, I guess I'll give a SLIGHT edge to BITTER THEY ARE, HARDER THEY FALL just because I think it's a slightly better written song.
GOOD CHOICES NEA!!! (y)

I Gotta Know by a considerable margin.
Ditto that for Never Again. Never Again and Love Coming Down don't get the credit they deserve in my opinion, and are just about my favorite performances from that album, believe it or not...though I do love them all.
