Hi Geordie,
Can I ask which tracks swung it for you to vote for 'Back In Memphis' over the original Memphis album?
Cheers,

Okey:) Lets go: LAWDY MISS CLAWDY VS MONEY HONEY!
I go for LAWDY! And you guys?
I love Lawdy Miss Clawdy. Especially the '68 Comeback version.
Tha's alright, has gota be 54...it changed music for ever, up until E goosed it up, there was no music full stop...
Redroo...Adealide South Australia
'son that girl your foolin with,
she aint no good for you, but that's all right'...1954
michu, i'm gonna go LAWDY LAWDY MISS CLAWDY, even when Elvis changed the key in the 70s, it still remained a rocking song. the 68 version, yes it does rock!(y)
mmmmm, let me see now:hmm: :hmm: :hmm: , right here goes:
1. I Got Stung (awesome track).
2. From Elvis In Memphis (from my own section).
3. Lawdy Miss Clawdy (most of the live versions swung that one for me).
cheers for now, rickster.
Lawdy miss clawdy has got to be the only one, one wonders what it would have sounded like if back in54 they had HD...
Nea...That rockin E is so groovy...how and where did you do that man...
ill go for lawdy miss clawdy ( because it was scottys fav )
nea i love elvis in memphis but back in memphis was one of the first l.ps. i bought, double l.p. aswell(y) , also i just love the songs
inherit the wind, youll think of me ,but the standout for me was stranger in my own home town,as i said before always a fav. of mine.the only song i dont really care for is from a jack to a king.
Lets proceed:) THE GIRL OF MY BEST FRIEND VS JUST TELL HER JIM SAID HELLO!!!
Hard to say...but I pick THE GIRL!
I would go for 'the girl' also, rickster.
the jordanaires put me off girl, i just do not like their ' a a ahhhhhh ahhhh', it just makes me feel such a loser. just tell her jim said hello is great becoz of Elvis 's excellent voice
i think this is my fave thread on TCB world(y)
thanks downunder,
lets have some rules here though:supriced:
i think we should give each q. at least 10 answers, that will give a more informative opinion..
if there is not enough answers , well so be it

Ive got diffrent idea: always when we put songs we wait 48 hours, for example, and then we put next songs.(because if we wait for 10 votes it may take too long)Quote:

' BLOW YOURE BRAINS OUT MAN ':notworthy :lmfao:
What is wrong with you,guys???Only 3 votes?Why?
Anyway here we go again: I'VE LOST YOU VS I JUST CANT HELP BELIEVING!!!
My vote goes for I'VE LOST YOU.
My vote would have to be for I.J.C.H.B., at great track from a great album, how about these 2 to select from,'HOW GREAT THOU ART' v 'YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN', my personal favourite of the 2 would be H.G.T.A., the first version I ever heard of this was from ELVIS IN CONCERT and it just blew me away, the power that Elvis possessed in his voice 1977 was quite stunning, and how great thou art gave him the chance to show that vocally he could still pull out all the stops, mountain is also on e.i.c. and that's a great track also but just not enough for me to select it, ok guys it's over to you................rickster.
