There's also " Suspicious Minds" a two cd set that has all the album songs plus alot of outtakes and alternate versions, I love this cd. If you really think about it, it boggles the mind how effortlessly he could do it when he wanted to. He could even take a mediocre song and make it fantastic. (Listen to some original versions of some of the songs he sang like "Steamroller Blues" for instance)

Oh yeah, I'm listening to Danny Boy and You'll Never Walk Alone just finished. What a great voice!

I have that CD box too and it's absolutely fantastic...I love all the outtakes and alternate versions, especially those of "In The Ghetto"...I can hear him breathing and it seems he's next to me singing....:blush: !!!

It was a great recording session for Elvis....yes, he could make a "not so special" song a BIG HIT...(y) this is the reason why I hate listening people complaing about his success since he didn't write his songs...he could take a song and "create" it again as he felt it...
