Elvis, Nick Adams & A Fan
Hi Guys,
I've just been listening to the 'Mississippi-Alabama Fair' segment of the late 1984 release 'A Golden Celebration' Box Set. There are two electrifying performances featured from the afternoon and evening concerts from September 26th, 1956 even though they are quite difficult to listen to due to time, equipment, and screaming (fans) of the recording. Nevertheless, these are essentially classic performances to have in one's collection.
There are a number of interviews featured at the end of CD 2 after the afternoon performance in Tupelo including a few words from the big man himself aswell as his parents - wonderful to hear Gladys' thoughts and opinions, God Bless Her.
My first question then: Who is the fan featured in the interview - anybody know? - she's got a great accent!
Secondly, did Elvis & Nick Adams maintain their friendship throughout the years up until Nick's untimely death in February, 1968? Has anybody heard about Elvis' reaction to this - no doubt it was a sad time, even though Elvis had just become a father.
Nick Adams seemed to be shrowded in controversy throughout his Hollywood career - so much so that he was linked to having an affair with James Dean?
Any information or thoughts, guys?
