That's nice Patrick, great photo ! (y)
Thank you, Spinout! the photo is a real beauty for this cover, i made it look old (the original is b/w) and i gave it some colour first but wasn't to happy with a full colour pic on the front, than i played around with the colour tones, the way it turned out it looks a bit like a sepia effect (wich it isn't) just 4 different layers with one that's had a real over blown with the colours yellow and orange and put that layer on 20%..and than you have this effect.
...........and how is the sound quality on this CD Patrick, it's got a few of the lesser known tracks together with the more familiar compilation tracks, right ?
The sound quality is much the same as the newly released cd's: Elvis, Elvis Presley, King Creole or Christmas Peace. Altough i think they gone a little overboard with the bass on some tracks (specially the 60's tracks) but overall the sound is better than the versions we heard before! Only down thing (for me it is) is on Unchained Melody, this song doesn't improved much from the version on Moody Blue, the sound is too mixed down, all instruments are mixed at the same level, on all the other tracks you can hear almost every instrument is standing out, i hope i make sense now...but you really can hear the difference when Unchained is followed by If i can dream.. But it's good release with a good cover, with good sound and some great tracks, for the casual buyer a cd with some songs that they don't know.
That's got to be a step in the right direction if these type of releases are to be used as a tool for getting new people interested in delving deeper into The Kings back catalogue.Quote:

Thanks guys! i'm getting a little red now...so many positive reactions on this cover. Here is the first impression on the back cover..
Looks great to me Patrick, I can't wait to see the final version
Looks great Patrick.
It has "romantic" written all over it!! (y)
Very nice Patrick...the photos and colors are outstanding
(y) Hey Patrick, I LOVE the front and insert. I think the backcover should be a little more in the same style as the front though... Just a thought and idea maybe... THANKS!
Thanks JohanD, that is exactly what i had in mind when i started on this cover.Quote:

It's quite a simple design (only the front is a different story) but very effective.
A really cool job on this album Patrick  it is so much better than the original bmg effort.
It reminds me of a 2cd collection i bought about 15 or so years ago called Romantic/Rockin Elvis .... it had cool cover art too.
A thought about the Unchained track :hmm: i hav'nt heard your album yet but could it be because it is a live cut ..... and basically they have reached their limits on what they can do with a live cut ?
looking very nice.
great front pic (lol)
Very good cover patrick
Fantastic job, Patrick!
I really like the front design, very nice!
Just got this CD today and it's playing while I write this.
Like you said earlier: nice songs (in a weird, no particular chronological orderI might add) and great sound!
