Final Sequence In EOT Of Elvis Running To The Car - What Date??
Ok...everybody has seen EOT a zillion times (well, I probably have) and I'm just wondering if anyone here would know the location of the sequence after, "Can't Help Falling In Love" where he's already come down the steps (that's Buffalo, NY on April 5, 1972) in the "Blue Nail" suit BUT what date is the footage of him scrambling to get to the car? It's NOT Buffalo, NY because he has on the belt for the "White Fireworks" suit.
Does anybody have any ideas????

My limited research shows that Elvis wore the Blue Nail suit on,
April 8th at UOT Stokely Athletic evening show Knoxsville Tennessee...probably it is this date heres a link

also on April 12th Fair Grounds Coliseum Indianapolis, Indiana and also one of the Hampton Roads shows that was filmed.

I always thought it was from Buffalo. Either way, loved that scene of him being chased!

Joe,
No, the run offstage down the steps IS Buffalo but the "chase" is from another location because he's wearing the belt for the White Fireworks suit (you can see it VERY briefly as he bends down to get in the car.)
BTW, I think all the scenes in the film of him running to the limo are cool.

I know he wore the suit during those three occasions BUT the KEY factor is the belt he's wearing. I believe he wore the original belt with the Blue Nail suit at the Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN. However, he did wear the alternate White Fireworks belt in Knoxville & Hampton Roads. Here are some pics.
The first one is Knoxville, TN on the evening of April 8, 1972 (ironically, a dear friend of mine attended this show and she LOVED it. She's always loved Elvis and she said the show was nothing short of AWESOME!)
The second picture is from the ending of "I Got A Woman"/"Amen" on April 9, 1972 (ES)
The third picture is from the escape to the car at the end of EOT. You can just barely see the "White Fireworks" belt on the suit. You can see Jerry Schilling, Sonny West & Hamburger James and a security guard in the photo.
EDIT: I just noticed something that I hadn't before! If you'll look closely, I think you'll see a green-ish type "curtain" in that last photo and you'll see something in the lower left of the "car chase" scene that looks orange. Now, remmeber, the aisle numbers in the Hampton coliseum are/were ORANGE! So....have I answered my own question about this mystery?

I have always loved that scene too where he is being chased. That had to be super scary for him, I would have been.

I always want to duck my own head for him....I'm convinced every time i see it he's going to crack his head on the car roof

Me, too...but, luckily, the guys are there to make sure he doesn't. Also, I noticed one other possible thing:
In that same scene, you see a bit of orange in the lower left where Jerry Schilling's hand is...and, remember, the aisle/row numbers in the Hampton Coliseum are/were orange. But, as I've said before in the original post, they key factor is the belt he's wearing and, possibly, the car as well.
