Once again on this side of the pond the occasion went by without acknowledgement by any major tv channel in Ireland or Britain.
You guys should check out tumblr, it blew up with posts wishing E an happy bday, and most everyone on tumblr is fairly young.
At one point yesterday, Elvis was trending worldwide on Twitter. I checked it out last night and there were literally thousands of comments pouring in, and from all races and ethnic groups. From teenagers and young adults to 30 somethings. Many were commenting on how much they love to watch his movies to how handsome he was. I bet TCM has their highest ratings during January and August because of Elvis Week. :lol: Great to see him continuing to bring in and hook new fans around the world! Gladys and Vernon would be so proud.
