Away for a week

I'm off to the National Theater in Rijeka, Croatia for 2 performances of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" so will be back in a week. Greetings to all my frinds on the board!

I'm actually giving a presentation on Carmina Burana December the 19th.
It is in fact based on medieval poetry/song material!
It is not certain where this material was composed. Some German dialect hints at the Bavarian (spoken) region, the writing suggests Italian influences. That's why they keep pointing at Austria.

Yes that is true. It is not known where the material was composed. But the language used in the Cantata is a mixture of Latin mostly Latin with a small amount of Middle High German and also a little bit of old Provencal.

I'm fluent in German. I spent my whole childhood living in Germany. Also finished High School there. My father was an Opera singer in Germany. I wish I could do it but on the 19th I have another performance again in Croatia this time in Split. I'm singing in Johann Strauss' Operetta The Bat.

I'll have to do the work for the presentation myself, but it would be great to have you invited.. :clap:with a nice demonstration.. better than Power Point or photos!

Well as I said in my other thread Back, I do have a copy of the dvd of the whole performance.
