May 1968

May 1968 - I always find 1968 an interesting year, it's like the last year where Elvis really has the greased/combed back hair, by 1969 he has a more carefree hairstyle. In some of the publicity shots of Elvis for the 68 Special I think he looks older than he does in 1969-1970!

I never did like the slicked back hairstyle in most of his movies. It just wasn't him. I was happy to see him grow out his hair in the more carefree style too.
