I also like that footage Tommy where he played "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen". Beautiful! I've never heard anyone who sang a harmony with himself so beautifully.

Re: Something for everyone the good in ELVIS
The feeling I use to get as a kid listening to his records was a simple feeling of "all is well, anything is possible...."

Re: Something for everyone the good in ELVIS
Though he never had any formal training, he was blessed with a remarkable memory, and his musical knowledge was already considerable by the time he made his first professional recordings in 1954 at the age of 19. When Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller met him two years later, they were astonished at his encyclopedic understanding of the blues. At a press conference the following year, he proudly declared, "I know practically every religious song that's ever been written."

There is something to be said for any individual who can smile and bring a warm feeling to your heart-Elvis was one of the few humans that had that power in just a single grin.

So true. It is amazing how just looking at his face even in repose did to a person. He sure had some quality that was extremely rare.

Re: Something for everyone the good in ELVIS
The video "Elvis with a young sick fan" is the sweetest. (youtube link is above in previous post)
I just discovered it last year and the way he treats her and says thank you to her at the end is just so sweet.
Lisa's song "Storm and Grace" so reminds me of the things that I have learned about him, for better or worse.
"You have the most beautiful heart that I've ever known, it kills me you can't ever show it and a shell has been grown".
Storm and Grace-LMP
Even if you don't like Lisa's voice or music take a listen to that song I have a feeling it is about dear old dad, what ever you may think about Lisa I like her thoughtfulness in this song.
