WARNING: 48 HOURS TO MEMPHIS "NOT" IN STEREO AFTER ALL
After all the hoopla about to supposed discovery of a lost stereo mix of a lost Elvis concert, well it turns out that Ernst LIED (or somebody did, whoever was in charge of promoting it) and that it is actually a MONO recording copied form a stereo mixdown. (n)
Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this. I'm not going to buy it now because of this. I was really looking forward to it too. Very disappointed in thsi news.(n)(n)

I don't get too fussy about sound but it seems like we have been misled a bit with this release.
Thanks for the info.

So... what happened with the Stereo recording from where the mono mix down was done?
Why did they say first that the stereo recording was what they found? I mean whyyyyyyy!!!! lol ok yes I feel disapointed.

As I posted in another thread, here's the information as reported on Elvis Australia: http://www.elvis.com.au/presley/48_h...s+Australia%29
