Vry interesting footage of Elvis on stage in Vegas wearing Pinguin suit, used until this day as a private wardrobe.
Elvis looks a bit strange in it, but he gave great show.

I wonder if he wore this suit, that was for private wear, simply because he was rushed for some reason?
Elvis wasn't particularly 'on' during this short Las Vegas stint. If I'm not mistaken, I recall an audience recording of this show, where after 'See See Rider' he says something about going to the bathroom and while there listening to the opening tune of the show, so he had to rush to the stage (or something like that).
Whether or not this was the reason I don't know, all I now is that some of the 5 shows held for this engagement, were request shows and he treated us (or rather those in the audience) with rarities (for the time) such:
19 August 1975 D.S. : Crying in the chapel,
Loving you
I'm left you're right she's gone (sings title)
19 August 1975 M.S. Loving you
Are you sincere (sings title)
Are you lonesome tonight?
You've lost that loving feeling (1 line only)
Elvis does not sing the 'I Got a Woman-Amen' medley
20 August 1975 D.S. Green Green Grass of home,
Until it's time for you to go
20 August 1975 C.S. That's Alright / See See Rider (Medley as opening song)
Until it's time for you to go
Fever
Happy Birthday
Some footage exists of this short engagement. Particularly interesting in the footage of the opening show, where Elvis starts quite energetic with a very physical Suspicious minds and Polk Salad Annie, and a great vocal on My Boy. Then, he completely lost his breath. He first sits on the drum riser, then lies down, and a female fan asks Elvis if he needs mouth to mouth ressucitation. To the surprise of many, he answers "Yes". She gets on stage and kisses the lying down Elvis!!!
Nice footage, Its strange to me that we have footage but you have to buy pictures of this suit if you want to see more than the average run of the mill photo's out there.
