Re: Sandi Miller Interview
Honey what do you propose to do here? Put bits and pieces of Sandi's very available and well know comments like "Pieces of his heart?" I personally fail to see the point.
I doubt one person here does not have this, know this and know Sandi is the sweetest lady in the world...but on it goes. Just curious to what you are doing? I mean you could place the lyrics to Elvis songs too... rather an odd thing as well...

Thank you, Deb.
These are answers to questions that Sandi replied to, when asked by fans, so are unique, and a pleasure to read.
I'm so glad that you are all enjoying them.
I laugh every time, reading Sandi's private memories somehow brings us closer to Elvis, knowing him, through Sandi's eyes, and well written words.
Precious memories, and an opportunity to know the real Elvis, as Sandi is known as someone who tells the truth.
Re: Sandi Miller Interview
"I vocalise every day" - Elvis.
Quote:
**He did have some concoction he'd gargle with and I know he mentioned once what all was in it but I'd have to dig thru my journals and see if I bothered to write down what it was. There was a singer in Vegas at the time who apparently told Elvis that when he was not performing he would not speak AT ALL to rest his vocal cords - he'd write notes but would not speak so Elvis decided he was going to try that technique next time he appeared in Vegas. I didn't believe he'd be able to do it for a minute because Elvis just liked to talk toooo much to give it up but try he did when the next engagement started. He lasted all of two hours and broke his silence by saying "this is B_LL S__T! Dr. Nick also gave him something to gargle with but again, it wasn't something that I felt the need to ask him what it was. He'd warm up his voice all the time but it never seemed like anything other than him playing around - it wasn't like you see some artists do where they do their scales or hum or repeat certain chants - with Elvis it was just him being goofy and trying out different notes going as low as he could go and as high as he could go and he'd usually end up laughing at himself. Not a very technical description is it? Anyway- I never really saw him doing anything special to maintain his voice. He may have - but I only witnessed the goofy stuff.

Thank you, honey (y)(y)(y)
You all spur me on - I'll post some more, soon (y)
Sandi makes me feel as if I am there too, does she do that for you, too, Annie?
Sandi gives you such a wonderful mental picture with her humour and her love, Sandi eloquently, lets you in on Elvis' humour, too
I also like the way some questions, that we've all had and not been able to read anywhere, are answered in her replies.
I also love the feelings that Sandi expresses, how she explains Elvis' personality with such affection. This is unique to me, as most thoughts are expressed through another writer for the original story teller, or at least second hand by others, so the true feel of Elvis' personality is lost as it is second or tenth hand, lol
Gold to me!

You know, he wasn't bad with impersonations - he even did an impersonation of himself from back in the 50's once which of course was very spot on but we all told him it was just "so-so" .
Another time he said he would do Tom Jones- excused himself and went down the hall to his room and came out with a sock in his pants and proceeded to gyrate while singing "What's New Pussycat" Priceless!! He was a very entertaining guy! Oh yes, and he did a great Donald Duck and a great Kennedy impression!
Ohhh I would have loved to see all these impersonations - Elvis doing an impersonation of himself?! :lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:(y)(y)(y):king:

Little lady, it's "Gold" spoken from Sandi Miller to anyone with an interest.
That is why I don't understand why so many of you don't have this in it's entirety?

I agree with you. Post some of the good stories occasionally.
We sure hear & see enough of the bad .
Most Elvis fans I've been blessed to know freely & willingly share all they have.
I try to do the same. It's nice to see occasionally. :)
Re: Sandi Miller Interview
I love these Sandi Miller stories. I'm new to this site so I'm not sure who everyone is yet but it looks like Merry has had contacts. Thanks for sharing.:king:

It turns out, a PG Guinea pig!
Then I was to see the bunnies in a shed out back, the Mother rabbit was snowball white, and leaped out of the cage and through to the front yard..Elvis was in a dark PJ's and Robe, we both were crawling through bushes when a light hit me in the eyes, I was terrified..it was a guard or MM member not sure really, I said: "We have to find the white Rabbit" He replied to me: "WE?"
E- stuck his head through what I think was a hibiscuss plant, and said "YEAH WE" lololololololololol:lmfao::lmfao:
Obviously the whole thing was planned carefully, and it's one of those times that I was paid in cash for doing nothing but laughing. I refused and he insisted about 6 times!
I am honored to have been to most of his concerts, and spoke with him several times. He knew I was struggling, and A nicer man there never will be.:peace::happy_ny:

What did you do for a living?? You had a phone in your van??
