Here Comes Santa Claus

One question: Did I missunderstand it when I was little, or is Santa Clause wriiten with a "e" behind "Claus"?

If you read "Clause" anywhere it was most likely referring to a proviso in a legally binding contract, rather than a large, inebriated male wearing a red suit and loitering around children.

"Here Comes Santa Claus" is my fave track on the original "Elvis' Christmas Album."

But what about the movie "Santa Clause"? Everywhere I read the name when I was little it as written with an "e".

No, It´s called "Santa Clause". I´m sure. Santa Clause is played buy Tim Allen. Do you know the movie? There are three parts of it.

Okay, that´s the movie. But in Germany it´s called "Santa Clause" & not "The Santa Clause". Maybe you´re right. But I couldn´t know it because they spell it wrong in Germany. I´m still not sure yet, though. How did Elvis spell it? :lol: I guess I will never know.

Whether the "The" is included in the movie title or not, the E was added because it refers to a clause that binds Allen's character to be the next Santa Claus.

Look at the way the E was obviously meant to stand out in the title. That is to acknowledge the correct spelling of the name (Claus) and that the E is representing the aforementioned scenario.
