Thoughts and prayers, please
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jasonnoble
This is my cousin's husband. A month ago everything was thought to be fine and now he is fighting for his life with bone cancer that was just diagnosed a week ago, if you can imagine that.
It started with some soreness in his shoulder and hip. There were some speculative misdiagnoses until the bone cancer was found in those places as well as in his lung.
He quickly required the use of a cane and/or wheelchair, the latter of which they really wanted him in out of fear he would shatter his hip. He was in lots of pain, requiring morphine. Went into the hospital a few nights ago when he was coughing up a lot of blood and choking on it, barely able to get a breath. He has been under sedation for the most part since then out of fear that he would rupture an artery (intermingled with the tumor) while they developed a plan for the surgery that took place today. Fortunately that was a success. There are still many battles and if I understood correctly it is not a type of cancer that can be beat with chemo and radiation; those things will just prolong his life to whatever extent.
Having said that, there have been various doctors' opinions on things which have been in conflict with that of others so I am sure I don't have all the details right. What can be found in the link above should be accurate.
Anyway, I know this person is a stranger to you all but I wanted to share the story. Jason is a prince of a guy and to meet him is to like him. Thanks for reading this.

Re: Thoughts and prayers, please
That's really sad to read Lonnie.
He is a stranger to me, like you said...but my thoughts go out
to him and his lovedones. I don't know what to say really..this
is really hard. I wish him peace and may he find strength
on this difficult journey.
