You Meet Elvis and he invites you back to Graceland (wow I know) you kick back and Jam with the king laughing and having fun, you have a great time!

So here it is...

1. What songs would you sing (ask Elvis to sing)

2. Elvis invites you to see a show (You choose what Year and what Show)

3. As you are leaving Elvis gives you a memento (You choose, could be anything! Car, Ring, Autograph or Cadillac)

Here's mine:-

1. Songs would include -
a) 'Suspicious Minds', Unplugged style
b) 'Polk Salad Annie' slow version with the 69 On Stage Album talking Intro,
c) 'Never Been To Spain' Elvis On Tour Rehearsals version, sounds more bluesy.
d) 'Johnny B Goode' Kick *** Style

2. What show - Very Hard to decide here, there are so many great shows! When push comes to shove I guess the time when Elvis was at his Jumpsuited peak I've got to got with one of the Madison Square Garden shows June 11th 1972 with the Porthole Jumpsuit.

3. What memento? - Well, I'm just walking to the hall and Elvis opens the door takes off his glasses and says here, have these as a memento! How cool to be able to look through some glasses Elvis looked through.

We'd be singing gospel all night - or the Blues! Hi-heel sneakers, Stranger in my Own Hometown, Down in the alley, etc.
2. Elvis invites you to see a show (You choose what Year and what Show)
1956 - any show in Texas - they were a bit more intimate, and after the shows Elvis would be hanging out with the fans at the local Burger Huts!

3. As you are leaving Elvis gives you a memento (You choose, could be anything! Car, Ring, Autograph or Cadillac)
Okay, it's in the fall, and it was a bit warmer when he asked me over, and now it's become much colder, so he rushed over to his closet - yeah, we made it up to the bedroom, sorry, you weren't invited!, and he loans me his jacket the Rainbow with the fringe! It's so colorful, he finds it and grabs it quickly. I offer to have it cleaned and returned, but knowing Elvis he just tucks his head down a bit, and smiling says, "Nah, honey, you keep it!"

Now THAT is a very cool question J.J.!!! What a tough one to answer too...hmmm....let's see.... :hmm:

As for the songs I would ask Elvis to sing...probably some of his later ballads, since they are my favorites...songs like IT'S MIDNIGHT, I'M LEAVIN', FOR OL' TIMES SAKE, LOVE COMING DOWN, IT'S EASY FOR YOU and HELP ME come immediately to mind. Of course, we'd probably have to throw some rock n' roll in there too...perhaps a little LAWDY MISS CLAWDY, BABY WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO or one of my all-time favorite songs - FOOLS FALL IN LOVE!!! (y)

An invitation to a show....it would have to be the Las Vegas opening night show on 8/19/74...such an amazing and unique show!!! He certainly would have gotten a VERY positive reaction from me, that's for sure!!! ;)

As for the one memento he gave me as I was getting ready to leave...that one's easy...his TCB RING!!! :D
