Lisa Marie Presley "Jackson"
Since I had not ever heard Lisa referred to in this way, I found her signature on the document in the link below rather intriguing:
Julien's Auctions will be holding a Music Icons event in NYC on Nov. 21, 2009. Included in the auction will be several items of Michael Jackson's, most notably the famed 'sequined glove' from his memorable Motown 25 appearance where he moonwalked on stage. Another item is a 'black fedora' MJ wore for his 1995 appearance on the MTV awards. The 1995 letter of authenticity accompanying this is from LMP and signed as "Lisa Marie Presley Jackson."

Thanks.
Yes - I know she was.
I just had not heard or even read of her being referenced with that last name.
If I remember from clips, etc., in the Diane Sawyer interview and MTV Awards it was "Lisa Marie Presley" even though she was married to MJ at the time.
A first for me.....
Are there other times I missed where "Jackson" was used publicly for Lisa?
Re: Lisa Marie Presley "Jackson"
Wow, this is new to me. Never read that signature but this time. Thanks a lot for the link. :]
Re: Lisa Marie Presley "Jackson"
from a legal standpoint her name was Jackson when they were married.
Just like he name is Lisa Marie Presley Lockwood right now and it will be signed on checks, other documents etc.
Though she has and will continued to use the name Presley in interviews because that's what she's known as a lot of females will continue to use their madam name for professional purposes
it's no surprise.

Brian,
Thanks for your comments.
Maybe I wasn't very clear in my original post on my thoughts about this. I understand and know Lisa's name as Jackson or Lockwood or Keough through marriage at various times in her life. But none of these names are publicly associated with Lisa (the only way I know of Lisa)....soooooooo when I saw the Lisa Marie Presley 'Jackson' signature on the letter it really caught my eye. It was unexpected simply because it was unfamiliar to me. And I think you may have experienced this - you know something in your mind but when you actually see 'it', it somehow makes it 'more real.' Had the letter been signed Lisa Marie Presley, I would not have stopped to even consider 'Jackson' as an omission or otherwise - period. Did you open the link to see the signature?
Here's another question since I am not really familiar with the MJ story:
What do you think prompted Lisa/MJ in 1995 to consider an LOA?
Do you think MJ was already in the habit of doing this with most of his belongings?
Was MJ memorabilia in demand at that time?
Okay, so that was more than one........
:P
