I found in YT two versions of I'll Never Fall In Love again and put them in my blog. This lady is feeling broken-hearted as you can see... :(
Which version would you pick: Elvis or Tom's?

elvislady:D
Elvis' version - NO CONTEST (in my opinion, of course) ;)

ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ALWAYS ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!FOR ME!
ALWAYS ELVIS!!!!!
Thanks for your replies. :D I voted (in my own poll, lol) for Elvis. Though Tom Jones really sings all his feelings off. I agree with elvislady.
Well there's a big difference and in general Elvis' voice has more depth (I mean tonal dynamics, not range) and emotion to it. Tom is a good showman, no doubt, but the difference shows off in the more sensitive ballads and religious songs. The song you mentioned is all right, but nothing beats Elvis at singing Danny Boy.
Anyway, I'm now considering a set-list to please the crowd in Las Vegas and writing at least some new songs to do so:
-Turn on your love light
-Love light, turn me on
-Lighting on the turning point of love
-Turning the light while loving you, baby
Could be rather cheapish pornographic muzak, but who cares as long as it makes a good buck? (y)
Elvis version always (y)
I voted for Elvis. (y)(y)(y)
I think Tom does it brilliantly...but for me Elvis has heart and soul and his voice has so much pathos, he just makes me melt, I feel the same with Without Love too:D
