The coolest photos from aloha and press conference. The first one should have been the album cover (if they had enough time).

Great picks, definitively the first photo is a killer. Could have been a much better cover for the Aloha L.P. I've never totally get why they were not able to use a picture from the Aloha show if the album was released until april. Anybody knows? Iīm I totally lost?
Second one, anyhow, was used here in Mexico as the 1987 cover for the L.P/Cassette/CD called: Elvis Baladas. (One of the last 3 albums released that year that were available on those three formats over here, off topic just memories from somebody that grew up in the 80's :P).
I remember back then as a 7 year old kid, I was very impressed as I though Elvis was crying on that photograph, so looking at that pic while lisening to some of the big ballads on that L.P. like "Itīs Imposible" or the tender ones like "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", used to gave me the chills. As a kid I was totally much more into the rock and roll stuff, but it was that pic man, or what I thought they were tears, what made me hear that L.P. for hours.
I still, while looking at his performance of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" on the rehearsal concert, which is where Im sure this picture was taken, I still think is not only sweat what is running to his cheeks at one certain moment.
that first pic is great!!! and it would have made a great album cover for the aloha album!!! it would also make a great wallpaper!(y)
It was an extremely stupid decision to use an unflattering non-Aloha photo on the front cover
The top shot, and several others, could have been used.
I've always loved the one with the tears running down his face, beautiful!!!!
GREAT PHOTOS TRELANE!! (y)
Thanks so much for sharing, and yes, I agree that the first photo would have definitely made an awesome cover photo for the ALOHA album!!! :D
TCB!

The first photo is awesome.. However this one looks awful, Elvis just looks stoned!

Yes, he was rather medicated for the Aloha press conference.
As for the `crying' photo, I think it was sweat, not tears, but still an effective shot
