If LM believes that it has helped her & "saved" her life ......... both literally & figuratively, ............. then she has found what she is searching for ------> that should be applauded. Ironically (as harsh as this may sound to some), ............. I'm not so sure the same can be said of her father, EP. (ie: LM was not only able to face, but also overcome her addiction problems, EP was not).
I, personally, would never presume to tell others what they should or should not do with what is their own (in this case, LM's income). This all, IMO, is just another bizarre aspect that aptly demonstrates just how possessive "fans" can be on a number of levels about matters ............. because they feel a very real mental "bond" secondary to an imagined relationship with a man they never really knew (EP) in reality. For good & bad, such is "Fandom" & "Celebrity."
Priscilla's influence on Lisa not only explains her religious beliefs, but also Lisa's views on the MMM's & those that were around her father. Have said it before a number of times, ........... LM was simply too young to be able to formulate all of the bile that she now carries towards some of those that were there.
Of course, Lisa's beliefs have been placed there by others .................... as have all of our own to varying degrees.

I like Lisa Marie, ......... she's a straight-shooter, no BS kind of person .......... and I respect that. She's also got a mouth like a sailor, which from all accounts comes from her daddy's side of the family. I don't necessarily like that, especially on a lady, .......... but I digress ........... ;)
Live & let live, ............. and try not to be so jealous .............. & possessive ............ fellow EP fans.
All things considered, ........... Lisa's doing great & a got a good head on her shoulders, from what I can see. I suppose she also still learning, much like all of us should as well.

PS - I enjoy your posts Cherokee, .................. keep 'em coming ......... this MB needs more "meaty" topics that stimulate thought / discussion.
First off: (quoting Elvis here during one of his Love Me Tender shake a hand, give a pucker rounds) "Thank you, dear" ;)
Fair. I agree with especially the bold part.Quote:

Oh, I definitely agree with that. That's what I always say to (especially younger) fans who see her as a first degree source on her father. :rolleyes:Quote:

So that was at age 4 (and really: what does a 4 year old understand and is able to interpret correctly by herself?) and after that again only saw her father when he wasn't on tour or wasn't asleep through most of the day.......
I have no opinion on her as a person, or on her character: don't know her personally so can only guess. Do have an opinion on her as a "singer", because I've been educated musically, and although I am not an expert, I've learned enough to know who has vocal talent and who doesn't. So far she has not passed the average scale as far as her performances go (n)Quote:

As do I, which kinda sucks when you can't sleep in like he did. :closedeye
Captain, reading through this thread, I was formulating my response, and then I discovered that you had already delivered it for me--thanks for saving me the time! :D
Mainly, it was on the "too each her own" theme, primarily because it apparently was Scientology which helped her kick her drug habits.
I do agree with your initial post, Jackie.
Regarding Lisa's talent level, I haven't seen any of her live performances in quite a while, but I am guessing she has improved (something she had plenty of room for) over time--would that be accurate? However, on her CD, I think she sounds great. A quick side note on that...my dad borrowed some of my CDs a while back, and that's one that for some reason was without its case. He had been playing it and really enjoying it, and had no idea who it was (the CD label does not name the artist)! If she hasn't quite yet, I think she will come into her own. It will be interesting to see how her second album turns out, and how well it is received.
