hi howard, the boot cd 'a capital performance' from the june 8th evening show in jackson mississippi has the full jackie kahane opening act. kind of corny but very clean and family friendly   . all the best, simmerrocks
Since Cincinnati, from the June 25, 1977 show has the Sweet Inspirations and J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet at the beginning. Of course, Elvis was over an hour late, so maybe that's why.
Hey Wade -
You can check out these CD's:
MY IT'S BEEN A LONG, LONG TIME - This CD contains The Sweet Inspirations portion of the show
GUARANTEED TO BLOW YOUR MIND - This CD contains the opening segment performed by Voice
Hope this helps you out!!

I just love to listen to the openingacts. They really complete the feeling of 'being there' while listening to a concert. The act of Kahane was a big suprice after reading everybody complaining about him. I found his act very funny. His style is very simular to the standup acts from Seinfeld.
Also the act from Voice was amazing. Love it!
i dont know how many will agree but i think the reading of the diary is very funny get hold of it and im sure you will enjoy beware if the kids are around as its a bit raunchy in places (y)
I'll check these out..
It's worth pointing out that the LMP release of this title has the opening act; the Madison one does not.Quote:

I also enjoyed hearing The Sweet Inspirations on the CD MY IT'S BEEN A LONG, LONG TIME as well, but I guess the biggest surprise of all was how GREAT I thought Voice was!! I just LOVE listening to their songs at the beginning of the GUARANTEED TO BLOW YOUR MIND CD!! They did a FANTASTIC job, in my opinion!!
