Outside of Elvis I have enjoyed Garth as an entertainer...and been to a couple of his concerts many years ago. Though I have few favorite songs outside of Elvis music....THE DANCE happens to be one that really touches my soul. I don't think you could have chosen a more perfect song for the slide show. But, he has a few songs that really get to me and this is one. :'(

Another song that reminds me of Elvis is "Wind Beneath Wings"! Some of the words... "Did you ever know that your my hero and everything I would like to be, I can fly higher than an eagle because you are the wind beneath my wings..."
I've always thought that was a fantastic song, Rosanne, and seeing it applied to Elvis -- not just the song itself but its central theme -- made for a very nice, rather moving slideshow. Well done!

I like some of his music-but I agree. He is very very commercial. He has overtaken Elvis's number one solo album seller in the US again. His marketing with Walmart helped propel him past Elvis. They were selling 5 CD sets for $10.00 for months in the local Walmarts- I'm sure that was the situation in all of them nationwide. He sees things always I think in terms of sales and how to maximise any little thing to produce sales. Nothing wrong with that I guess.Quote:
