Lorrie,

I just finished reading The King, McQueen and the Love Machine which is written by Barbara Leigh who was E's girlfriend at the 1970 Vegas engagement and remained his lover for several years.
If you want to talk about E's girls, she describes him very well without giving too many 'details' (deep breathe GoodGirl!!!!!!!) but, at one point, says that he's somewhat like his character in Jailhouse Rock...whatever that means....I'm still trying to figure it. So, from the mouth of one of his lovers is sort of like 'hearing it straight from the horses mouth.' But when reading the book, it doesn't seem like it is just another 'tell-all' book. If you like to be green outof jealousy then here you are ! The king and barbara Leigh
-elvis was a king and a king has to have his harem..........( barbara L.)

Yep!!! That's her. From a female perspective, she explained the affairs w/ his other women, and how Priscilla fit into the mix. I've never understood the whole marriage, double standard thing that he had going, but the book helped put that into perspective.;);)
