If you were in charge of BMG and was allowed to release one Elvis CD

If you were in charge of BMG and was allowed to release one Elvis CD, what would it be?

I believe BMG is making the same mistake for decades (as RCA did decades before that): assuming that what was once picked as a single (and became a hit), should be now included on each and every compilation. When you look at the Elvisfans who became fans after his death, you see that not (for example) Blue Suede Shoes is their alltime hit, but (for example) Promised Land.

It should be a one-disc release. What's your idea?

oh geez! tough question Albert! I am a fan of his late 60's/early 70's hits.....although I do like his 50's stuff of course because that is what made him Elvis. I know what you mean about them putting same songs on every cd - I don't know what I'd do honestly. Interesting to see the answers - I'm sure Jak and Getlo have some great ideas and I'm anxiously awaiting their answers!

I think "Wearin that Looked on Look" is a great overlooked Elvis song which had hit potential IMO It has a true raw feeling & power in it. Also in the same vein would be "Only the Strong Survie" Great great songs.

Well, if I had a chance to do a cd of Elvis songs, it'd be a remix cd.

That's what the kids want.

At least my age group do.

I can't get over what beautiful work you do Tom. Really love the all but the one that really catches my eye the most is on the second batch the cover of Elvis That's The Way It Is, Untouched Concerts wearing the Red Ladder suit is superb!!! (y)

I think we are over due for a true Blues CD. Let the fans vote to pick the songs. It should be promoted with the next big TV thing,,,,hopefully an anthlogy. Could be a pretty big hit. Bigger than "Elvis By the Presleys" at least.
