Essential 6 Such A Night
I am playing this cd right now.....and let me tell you man this wasnt a bad album, when it frist came out, and when i ws looking at the release date on here it came out in 2000, 4 years ago, man that is a long time, when this came out.
now it is due for vol-7, but i don't think this will ever happend.

Essentially the torch of the Essential Elvis series was passed on to FTD.
On the one hand, I am extremely grateful for the FTD label.
On the other, I think it's a pity that the main label shows no faith any longer in projects such as this. Volumes 4 and 5 are among my favorite CDs.
What kind of sales did A Hundred Years From Now and Rhythm And Country achieve? I'm guessing they didn't do too well, relatively speaking.

To bad, because these wasn't bad cd albums. (y)

Agreed Bobby,
it is a shame that they were sort of handed or moved on to FTD. They were all some terrific releases. As you say...4 and 5 were awesome releases.
They must have sold pretty well...though maybe not well enough.
It would be interesting to hear what sort of sales figures The Jungle Room Sessions has hit. For a mainly mail order cd only that must have sold a fair few :hmm:
I did here a while back rumours of a seven. But i guess thats long gone now :'(

The Essentials belong to my favorite cd's, must say I dont have number 1 so I don't know about this one, but the others are great. The music sounds so crisp an clear and I do like the way the songs are mixed on the cd. By mixing I mean the choice of songs.........
