What are your guys' thoughts on the book that George Klein is suppose to be writing. Think it will have any new stories, or just the same 'ol things we've heard for years and years on end?

Brad;)
Do you mean the book called "Elvis, My Best Man"?
I haven't heard too many stories about Elvis and George Klein, not the way we've heard about the MM over the years!
It could offer new stories, let's hope so! (y)

Yep that's the name of it..slipped my mind earlier:P;)
I suspect it'll be a lot of the same stories he'll tell you if you go up and start talking to him in person. He's easy to get going on the memory lane. It'll be a lot of the same stories he tells on his Friday radio show on Sirius , but with a book he'll not be up against the clock to get back to to the show. I'll buy it,I like books and unlike a lot here who don't like him and maybe they have legit reasons , I've had several experiences with GK and I like him. Personal experience trumps all. To me He's a good story teller and as you see if you hear his show, he has been around some of the best the music business has ever had to offer, the best of course being the King and they all seemed to like him to. Like Ricky Nelson sang Ya can't please everyone.
I passed on his Family Album book though I don't really need another book of photos. I'm anxious to see the book book if it ever gets finished.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure! (y)
Here's what the elvisnews site had to say about it...it sounds like it could be interesting! Did he say, "he waited because there was so many Elvis books out after Elvis passed away and into the 80's"...I think there's even more books out now!

George Klein's autobiography "Elvis, My Best Man" will be out summer of 2008. In an interview with Elvis Australia, George said "He was best man at my wedding. That's the working title. It will be from day one, from the first meeting in 1948 until today. It will have inside stories that people don't know and pictures people have never seen. You'll hear the whole, true story. I waited because there were so many books and stories that came out about Elvis after he died and into the eighties and I just didn’t want to get caught up in that circus.
I like him to and think he's a really good guy..love his show on Sirius he does on Friday's..always shares some great stories for us all. I'll buy it!;)
An interview with GK from the Elvis Australia website, done in July 2006.

He talks about the book:
"The book is called Elvis, My Best Man. He was best man at my wedding. That's the working title. It will be from day one, like I told you about that first meeting in 1948 until today. There are a lot of things that have happened since Elvis passed away that I'm involved in. It will have inside stories that people don't know and pictures people have never seen. You'll hear the whole, true story. I waited because there were so many books and stories that came out about Elvis after he died and into the eighties and I just didn’t want to get caught up in that circus."
Yup, I would buy it because I would be interested in what G.K has to say.
