I like this suit alot (y) Shame theres no pic's of the :king: wearing it
I found on www.silvesterelvispage.com that the suit was worn by Elvis in August
1972 or Februar 1973 in Las Vegas. ;)

I wonder if there was a white version? There was a white belt, anyway, that Elvis wore with the Phoenix suit for the November 17, 1972 concert in Honolulu. Maybe it was just one of those general-purpose belts made for no specific suit, though if that was the case it'd seem rather odd to also have one on hand that happens to match the color of this teal suit.
The white belt Elvis wore with the "Phoenix" in 1972 was a gift from actor Jack Lord & his wife and was given to Elvis when he visited the islands in July 1972.
So you could say that the "Light Blue Teal Suit" was based upon a belt.
Cool! I knew they'd given him a belt, but had no ideas it was that one or anything like one of the IC concert belts. Nice belt. Good of Elvis to wear it when he played Hawaii, too. I actually liked it better with the Phoenix suit than the belt made for that suit, anyway.
Don't be surprised if one day some pictures will surface where Elvis actually is wearing this suit. It would probably be January/February 1973.

What a beautiful suite. Leroy I thought it was in May 1972 that Elvis took the trip to Hawaii to see a karate event.
Hopefully pictures will surface of Elvis wearing the Light Blue Teal suite?!!
I love this suit too. I hope you're right Leroy and that some live pictures will surface with Elvis wearing it.

How could there not be a photo of Elvis in this suit? Elvis is the most photographed person in the world.
If it was only worn during Jan/Feb 1973 Las Vegas engagement than it wouldn't be that surprising that no pictures exist of Elvis in th suite, as photo's from that engagement are very rare to come by for some reason.Quote:

Maybe Elvis didn't really like the suit so that would explain why we haven't seen any photographs of him wearing it. He was not wearing it on tour. Just a possible explanation. But quite strange cuz the suit is exceptionally beautiful...
