:(Thirty Years of Tears :(
The time on the clock says thirty years,
But fans still come to shed their tears,
Remembered through the spans of time,
This man named ELVIS...gone in prime.
I sometimes wonder deep in thought,
About the joy that ELVIS brought,
Happiness, and comfort, through the gift of song,
The sweet, sweet harmony, lingers on.
His twinkling eyes, his fits of laughter,
ELVIS rockin' the house, shakin' every rafter,
He sang of love, of loss, of God,
The voice thrilled us each, and left us awed.
ELVIS' gentle spirit just seemed to know,
When time had come that he must go,
"Adios", he said, his last goodbye,
Leaving us forever asking, why?
We gave our loyalty, he gave his best,
For the time God lent him, we were blessed,
The years shared now seem way to brief,
ELVIS left his music to ease our grief.
He loved us tender, he loved us true,
ELVIS left the building, that made us blue,
The fans travel to Graceland, each year they go,
To honor, and say....
"We loved you so."

Extremely touching, thanks for sharing that with us SweetCaroline....:'(
:king:Your welcome, Queen. Hoping others will share their dedications and thoughts at this special time. :king:
I Had A Dream
I dreamed of a peaceful valley,
where a crystal stream there flowed,
Near a garden filled with daisy's,
beside of a golden road.
There were angels all around,
flying swiftly to and fro,
With harps they played a melody,
that sounded soft and low.
This place was filled with treasures,
It's beauty beyond compare!
I thought of how it truly posessed
such wonders, ever rare.
As I ventured further on,
I heard the sweetest sound-
An angel had begun to sing,
And everyone was gathering around.
That voice sounded so familiar..
but I couldn't see his face.
The hymn he sang, I recognized,
it was "Amazing Grace".
Every soul sat motionless,
listening to this chosen one,
Who was performing at his peak,
for the Father and His Son.
When the song was finished,
he rose up from his bended knee,
And turning toward the crowd,
his face I could finally see!
There was no mistaking it,
And it filled my heart with glee...
for this angel who had been singing,
We knew as "Elvis Presley"...
And so there beside of the garden,
where the daisy's swayed in the wind...
I sat down to talk a while,
with my love...my dearest friend. :king:
I'm sure that he would find us interesting, to say the least! lol...And yes, I think he would highly approve of our friendship...(wink!)
:king:Thanks Kim .....on the eve of the commemorative....I wish all ELVIS fans around the world could join hands in love and memory.:king:
