Just found this on YouTube. Supposed to be Elvis talking with the Denver cops from 1971.
The recording is obviously amateur and quite old, but I'd say it's really him.

Thank you for posting this telephone conversation between Elvis and a policeman srj, it was really interesting to listen to.
I would agree that it sounded authentic.:D
Diane
Thanks, srj.....Don't remember ever hearing that phone call.
Sounded like Elvis to me.
Don't you find it strange that everyone taped everyone else when they made or received phone calls back then??
Gosh, I'd hate to think I had to do that. Might get fewer calls though....;)
this phonecall is on the import cd moody blue and other great performence from fort baxter:king:
Thanx for posting :D
Hey....
I can't help myself , it's my medical work history .;)
Did you hear EP say his glaucoma was "all cleared up"??
Glaucoma is never cured !! It can be controlled with meds. & other things. But, it's not curable ..
I've heard "stories" over the years that EP had glaucoma ." It was why he wore dark glasses , the bright lights hurt his eyes & he depended on Hodge or "someone" to help get him off the stage. "
I came to believe the glaucoma thing; I'm just glad to hear he said it.....even though he fibbed about it "being taken care of.";)
He, like many men....never liked to admit if he was ill .
Not in any way, shape or form.
Yep, just like a man ;) Maybe he knew glaucoma is curable but meant "cleared up" for now...(don't wanna deal with the subject)....let's go on to something else.:P , you all know what I mean.:D
Sure was great hearing Elvis having an ordinary everyday conversation with someone though as opposed to having only heard "stage patter".
Diane
Of course, Diane......
It's just my "medical mind". ;) I was just thrilled to hear him admit it from his own mouth.
I loved hearing him talk....it was great !!
The import cd "Calling Elvis" contains his known taped phone conversations. It's interesting to listen too.
Jak
Oh hey Jak thanks! That's something I will have to look for.:D
Diane
it's a bit sad that a `friend' would tape such a conversation but it was interesting to hear.
As he once sang "I'm not a king, i'm just a man"

Even though I enjoy hearing them I can?t understand like some of you why people recorded their phone conversations with Elvis. No wonder he didn?t like talking by phone...
