Mexican Sundial Jumpsuit (1974 and 1977)

Mexican Sundial Jumpsuit (1974-1977) aka the Pizza. First worn in 1974 and then rested. It was most popular during 1977 where Elvis virtually wore it to every show during the later stages.

It was speculated that there might have been more than one Sundial suit due to the missing buttons on the sleeves in May/June 1977. This has however been cleared up by Gene Doucette who commented that there was only one of this suit made.

I have a one question. All jumpsuits which was made since 74 are without decoration on sleeves. WHY??? On Aloha suit he has a decoration, on Tour suits he has a decoration, but since 74 he has not (Mexican, American Eagle, etc). Only two suits has it - V-Neck and Blue Rainfall suits. But it?s all...

Well spotted Peter, I think a possible reason might be that the got caught on his guitar or possibly from other movements or fans trying to grasp a piece of a jumpsuit. Probably kept having to get the earlier suits repaired and it was decided to make future Jumpsuits without the arm decoration?

As we all know Elvis wore this suit in Tahoe in 1974 and not again until 77. This shot was taken in Augusta, Maine on May 24th 1977. Great shot of Elvis as he enters the stage.

The last time was in Pittsburgh during the New Year's Eve show.
There were only a few times in 1977 that he went for the higher note during the song. Also, for the most part, it wasn't reprised in 1977 except for a few occasions.

there is a concert i'm particularly interested in at this moment. May 26th 1977 in Binghampton and i haven't seen any pic anywhere of this concert.

have any surfaced? or are the pictures on the covers of Unchained Elvis from that date?
