    Some Enchanted Midnight

About three weeks ago, I got somehow stuck with my design for FTDs Polk Salad Annie and so I switched to a show, which is a favorite concert of mine, the midnight show of March 22, 1975.

The problem is, I got stuck with that one too. Here are two somewhat unrefined versions of the front cover which differ in typographical details only, but which would nevertheless result in completely different designs for the other cover parts. I prefer the clearness of the first version, but it is certainly not enchanting, as my title suggests.

Which version would you prefer? It is important for me, since the rest of design will be affected by your vote, too.

Well, Ron, I was in a very calm mood when I started this design (probably affected by Elvis good spirits on that day) and so it was my intention to create an unspectacular design devoid of eye-catchers.

But let's see how that cover will develop.

Thanx for your comments so far.

I think your version (on the right) looks much nicer imo

For me (personally) I enjoy the simple styles like that and think you're on to something good here

Look forward to the final product - I'm sure it will be lovely (since you do have a lot of talent)

Very nice picture you've got there! I've not seen that before!

To the design itself: I think you can do better than that proven by your fantastic On Tour design.

You have done a wonderful job on both!! I really like the second one the best. I like the layout of the wording better.

VERY BASIC COVER HOWEVER GOOD COVER

although it is a very basic looking cover, with a basic layout, with basic fonts and basic colours, it is a good cover.Would probably like to see you use that cool picture a little better and maybe use more striking fonts.

    good work so far though!!!

    That's the point E.L.

After some transparency hype, unconventional approaches and a 12-page booklet in my last covers, I felt inclined to create a basic, unspectacular design.
