I love this release for the music. But the rest of it.........Puleeeeeeeeze.
Yak, yak, yak. It made me yearn for the good old days of vinyl when because of time constraints RCA would edit out most of the talk.

    Vocal performance/Band etc. 5 stars

    stage banter 2 stars

    Overall rating 3 stars

Jerry, finally I agree with you 100% ! now, I wonder how much different the FTD " All shook up" is going to sound from this show.

This is the most rocking show I?ve heard from Elvis on CD so far, If I could I would go over to Ernst and buy copies of all the Vegas-recordings from 1969.
I just love them, the music, the musicians, Ernst and Elvis!!!
Dreamscenario; CD-box with the "ULTIMATE 1969 SUMMER FESTIVAL" containing all unreleased shows to date including the August 3-recording (sic Opening Night).
Hey I could even contribute some extremely rare photos myself.

"There watchin' me in this town man 'watch him watch him he's a squirrel.' " Elvis can get pretty funny on this cd.

I actually just downloaded this last week. I love it when he says "You want me to kiss you so you can sit down, is that it???" Well, duhhhhhhhh!!!! Then when he goes on to say "Well, come here lady!" Oh man, what a tough job he had!!!!!!!!

Another great show. It would be great if FTD released all of the 1969 performances they have!
