    The Legend Of Rock

Here is an Italian poll asking "Which is the biggest legend of rock".
Of course we are voting Elvis, but Freddie Mercury is still on the top.
Would you like to help the Italian fans to state Elvis is the real legend, 'cause he is?
    Thanks friends

With regards to that poem about the bird you have in your signature ...

    This was not by Elvis!

My father used to recite it to me as a child in the 60s and 70s.

I heard somewhere elvis did this poem, i dont believe for one minute he would write anything so horrible even if it was "just for fun"

Yes, he knew of the poem and recited it (a version is available of him telling it to Linda from 1974 - he says it's "a poem that I wrote", but this was one of his exaggerations).

Elvis did not write it; it's been around in one form or another for many, many years.

Supposedly this recording of Elvis reciting this poem happened in November 1973 at the Thompson's home in Memphis:

    No, it doesn't offend me.

But "poem by Elvis Presley" is incorrect.

Sorry too for being off topic but I want to thank Tony for the information about Meatloaf. I really loved his voice and felt he was a great entertainer. Sure wish he would come back with more material.
