this is pretty good, i think it's slighly a little to long in the legs and to short in the torso but the facial features are pretty good, it looks like him

I can't put my finger on it......it looks like him, but then again, the eyes are slightly odd somehow

I see what you mean about the proportions, but i can't say I like the 'spare' hands......creepy

The proportions of the head and body are all wrong. Sometimes I think our Evi is the only one who sees Elvis as he really was and she's never gotten to see him in person. What's with the extra hands? That is really creepy!

I agree about the eyes but it is CLOSE. The detail here is rather amazing.

Actually that is the best looking Elvis figurine that I've ever seen. The chin, the dark eyes, the hair, and the lips are all as close as you are going get to the real man. I might have to get this just for decorations. I hope they do one of the 50's Elvis in the gold lame suit and one of the Aloha Elvis with the American Eagle, sideburns and wild hair that he wore during that special. They should also do one of the Soldier Elvis to honor our troops overseas.

the extra hands are for the differant poses, i just thought this was one of the best figurines I'd seen, Elvis is hard to draw I know I've tried and would be very hard to cast correctly.

i just thought this one was far better than these

I will buy one. I agree they should have spent a little more time on his eyes for sure. Elvis was so good looking that he is hard to capture his looks on these figurines.

I agree with Diane, Evi captures Elvis' look better than anybody.

Viva Elvis, it would be great to see one of these dolls in The American Eagle suit.

Well, almost... something is not quite right with the eyes. But: incredible peace of work indeed!

I have to agree too that this is much better than these. The doll is still harsher looking than Elvis was though.

Yeh I agree Diane, I was trying to think of the right word for his eyes.......slightly slitty and a bit menacing........??

Diane
01-03-2012, 06:54 PM
The forehead is too strong, sits over the eyes a bit too much and the hair at the temple comes in too close to the face. For the lower part of his face, it's too narrow...face is overall too long. As far as the body goes, doesn't even come close

i agree with you Diane (y) she's very gifted to capture Elvis' expressions and features into her art work. (y)

Doesn't look like Elvis, you are correct, Evi is the only one who can capture Elvis, she has the eyes that reach his soul.

Best I have seen in a doll. Thank you for posting. (y)

I really don't like picking other peole's work to pieces, mainly 'cause I don't think I could do any better, but there is definately something wrong iwth the eyes, and the face is a little too long. Otherwise it's great craft'smanship and very lifelike.
As far as capturing Elvis' eyes is concerned there are many artists who can do this.See below.

"Best I have seen in a doll." I agree Tommy, i think it wouled be very hard to cast a doll that captures Elvis. But this one out does any others i have seen.

The thing I do like about this doll even though the resemblance is lacking is that it is much more lifelike than any other I have seen. Too bad no one can seem to get those special facial features right.

Even though it is not the best looking doll in the face, I will still get it. It's still cool. Lets face it, very tough to capture Elvis' good looks.
