We try to give you the best experience, so here's the question:

what do you prefer: to have the website and forum have a fixed width or to have it dynamic?

Fixed - this is what we have now. The top banner is 1100pixels and the whole visible page has that width also. People with a monitor with a high resulotion (1280 upto 1920) will see lots of unused space on both sides.

Dynamic - instead of having one width for everyone, the website will take a percentage of the screen (like 90% of the available width). So if you have a 1440x900 resolution, the page width of the page will be 1296 pixels width.

What do you prefer? If you reply, could you also please mention the current resolution that you're using?

I have no problems with the width of the site, but from what I read, a lot of members have to scroll left to right and vice versa to read/see the entire screen.

Perhaps a narrower fixed screen could to the trick, but maybe not for everyone.
On the otherhand, a dynamic one, and correct me if I am wrong, will adjust the screen size to the users (members) needs? I.e. they will have the TCB layout on whatever screensize/pixel size they use?

I voted for 'fixed but narrower'. The factory resolution for my monitor is 1224x 768@71Hz.

My screen will handle whatever is decided upon. I have 1440x900 pixels.

I have a tendency to think a fixed narrow screen would do the trick but not sure. I'm sure you will figure out the best way to go Albert.

I prefer to be able to see all of the page. I am happy to go with dynamic if that fits to my screen resolution of 1280 x 1024

but with your resolution, do you have visible problems with the 1100 pixels that we use right now? You don't have to scroll from left to right to see the full page?

Albert my friend, since the majority of members seem to have this screen size problem, can I make a simple remark here?

Everyone is allowed to laugh. ;)

Wouldn't the problem be solved for everyone if we use the same size we had before the changes?

I agree Sonny that would be nice. I have to scroll to the right of the page to see everything.
