It was written by Shantay Perrish.

Nice stories, nolvis. I read the other one you posted, too. Shantay Perrish is a journalist or just an Elvis fan?

She is a fan who was at Graceland experiencing all of what i've posted!:D(y):king:(y):newyear:

Correct me if i'm wrong but was'nt Lisa with Elvis and Ginger when that fan took the last known photo of Elvis when they came back from the dentist, and then they played racketball with Billy and Jo? Or did Lisa Marie stay at Graceland?

Lisa was in bed at Graceland.

It was also Shantay that took the photo of Elvis on his motorbike after visiting his mothers grave in 1977 that many believe was taken in 1976.

As has been discussed on FECC and other boards ... that pic was from 1976.

He looks nothing like the way he was in the CBS Special in this pic.

His last couple of years, he looked much better off stage, then on. Jumpsuits weren't flattering anymore, given that he was no longer in excellent shape.

I totally agree, perhaps he thought the fans still expected to see Jumpsuits :hmm:

I couldn't read the story, when I clicked on it - it still wasn't big enough for me to read - is there another way for me to access it?

You should be able to click on the image in nolvis' post once to open it, and then again to zoom in. If not, save it, then open it and you should have a tool with whatever you use to view images to zoom there.

I agree 100% the jumpsuits only made him look heavier-the huge belts, the heavy material, they made him look squeezed into them. His street clothes looked better. IMO The jumpsuits look worked good into 74, but after that he should have went to perhaps the 2 piece suits like in 71.

I know we all have differing opinions on this but I think the jumpsuits had definitely worn out their welcome after '73...specifically after "Aloha".

I'd go as far as to say 1975 as being able to get away with the jumpsuits. As crazy looking as the Bear Claw and Gypsy suits were, he looked pretty good in some pictures wearing them and he certainly looked happy in most.

well he sure looks good in that piccy........way better than june 77..i cant figure it out as some of you know i posted a thread on this pic...including the story about the pic..many of you responded that some parts of the story was hard to believe....like i mentioned before in that thread i bought that same pic from shantay parrish in 1978..but the story she talks about in this article posted above is not the same as the one she posted in another elvis magazine in 78 where she mentions she inched her way up the gates to get a better look at how elvis looked on the poorch with ginger? neways i dunno... for many of you elvis appearing on the poorch with ginger reading a newspaper was not believable neways thats what shantay said in 78 in an elvis world fan magazine i have. what i do know she was just a simple fan not a journalist and i bought that pic for 5 dollars from her back in 78..she was 16 years old in 77 when she snaped the piccy..........peace to you all(y)(y)(y):notworthy:king:

Yeah, because the story was absolute rubbish.

And the motorbike pic elsewhere is not from August 1977; it is from 1976.

Obviously, if this was taken in August of 77, then it makes it all the more historic, thus the pic becomes more compelling! Personally, I don't know, but after reading opinions here and the FECC, I'd say, nobody is a 100% sure, either way, I love it.
