Nobody could sing Christmas songs like Elvis could..we have enough re-issues of his xmas albums that are coming out of our ears though:lol:

There is one I really enjoy that is far from comprehensive but in my opinion still essential.

A few nice rare outtakes and the complete performance of Merry Christmas Baby. The sound is great on it too; it might not have the great overdubbed guitar solo from James Burton but Elvis sounds great in this mix, his voice up front and clear so we can hear all the off-mic stuff and the climactic "I said MERRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS BABY" towards the end sounds ferocious.

1. O Come, All Ye Faithful - (unreleased version, with The Imperials Quartet/Choir)
2. Silver Bells - (with The Imperials Quartet Choir)
3. I'll Be Home On Christmas Day - (unreleased version, with The Imperials Quartet/Choir)
4. Blue Christmas - (with The Jordanaires)
5. Santa Claus Is Back In Town - (with The Jordanaires)
6. Merry Christmas Baby - (unreleased complete studio performance)
7. If Every Day Was Like Christmas - (unreleased version, with The Jordanaires/Imperials Quartet/Choir)
8. Christmas Message From Elvis / Silent Night - (with The Jordanaires/Choir)

Yep, just 8 tracks. Still a must-have in my book, on LP or CD.

i bought one this year at walmart - it came in a really cute tin with a guitar candle, some Elvis postcard type cards, and a door sign. very reasonably priced, imo. It's called Home for the Holidays. songs are:

1. Blue Christmas
2. silent night (no one sings this one like ELVIS!!)
3. white Christmas
4. santa claus is back in town
5. i'll be home for Christmas
6. if every day was like Christmas
7. oh little town of Bethlehem
8. santa bring my baby back
9. mama liked the roses
