I've found a clip on YouTube of Johnny being filmed upstairs at Graceland!
Probably the only film that exsist..
Can anyone tell me how they got permission to do that? And why was some scenes of Ginger in the movie cut out?

I'm curious as to the order of the plots in the Meditation Garden.

1: Minnie Mae
2: Elvis
3: Vernon
4: Gladys

Not sure when grandma died, but wouldn't Elvis and his mother be buried side by side since they were "reburied" together? How did Vernon end up in the middle? Anyone know the order before Vernon died? Seems to me that they would bury Elvis beside his mother since they were so close...

Gladys passed away on August 14, 1958
Elvis passed away on August 16, 1977
Vernon passed away on June 26, 1979
Minnie Mae passed away on May 8, 1980

not buried at Graceland but buried at Forest Hill Cemetery
Vester passed away on January 18, 1997

Strangely enough, when Elvis and Gladys were brought back to Graceland and relocated (Elvis was not reburied because he was entombed in an above ground crypt) Elvis and Gladys were (technically) placed side-by-side with each other (you can find pictures of the graves shortly after the relocation to Graceland in Dick Grob's book, "The Elvis Conspiracy" but when Vernon passed away on June 26, 1979 at the age of 63 from heart failure, he was placed in the middle of them. Why? I don't know. I have no information as to who's idea it was to place Vernon between Elvis and Gladys.

The dates of death for Elvis, Gladys, Vernon and MInnie Mae Hood Presley are as follows:

Gladys Love Smith Presley (April 25, 1912-August 14, 1958) (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=2846)

Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935-August 16, 1977) (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=837)

Vernon Elvis Presley (April 10, 1916-June 26, 1979) (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=2451)

Minnie Mae Hood Presley (June 17, 1890-May 8, 1980) (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=2461)

Did anybody notice that when "Elvis" (Johnny Harra) went in the front door of Graceland, it suddenly showed him coming in from (what seems like) a back entrance??? Plus...this must be the 'edited' version of "This Is Elvis" that has been shown on television because it doesn't show what happens between the time Elvis arrived home and until they found the body....

He walks around Graceland with "Ginger". A lady ask him about if he wanted any thing. He said that "I am aright". The camera goes up the stairs and Elvis tells Ginger he is going to check on Lisa. He goes to the door of her room and says sleep tight and then goes into his room. Then it cuts to Portland where and Colonel gets a call from Joe that Elvis is dead.

Oh yea, that ain't nothing. My friend on the internet gave me a video of Elvis In Concert that suppose to be the new version. Well, it wasn't. It was one I made and I made a cover of that about two years ago. The video I had was excellent quality. I made a company up and everything. I used my screen name elvislennon. Well, I made a trailer and menu on my DVD. Well, when I got the video. I saw at the beginning my logo that I made and I was like "What the F***?" Then it said Elvislennon proudly presents Elvis In Concert: The Last TV Special. I got so tickled. But the thing about it I never gave it to anyone on the net. I gave it to only three people. I found out later that they sold it to someone then they was selling on the internet and it comes right back to me. That was funny to me.

What is "neat" about the clip? IMO, it's morbidPoint taken...I was simply making referance to a clip that likely hasn't been seen by many. At least by me anyway.

Whether Elvis' life lasted only until 8/16/77 . . . or longer . . . or continues today . . .Please, the man died. Just look at the above clips...;)

The only thing I know is that Andrew Solt was the one who got permission to film Graceland from Priscilla. During this time Priscilla didn't like Elvis impersonators but met up with Johnny Harra during this time and she thought he was a nice guy. As for scenes of Ginger being cut out of the movie. The clip you provided that all I have seen. I got three different versions of This Is Elvis and they show all the same scenes. No difference. What gives you a idea that there is scenes cut out? The pictures that is floating around of Johnny and so on was not filmed. They was testing to see what should be filmed or not. That is all it was. Just photos of them on location.

I think Delta is burried at Forrest Hill, she was a sister of Vernon.

I think she died somewhere in the 90's but I don't know exact date

I thought he said, "That would be fine Pauline"...

What do you think??

Brought back a lot of sad memories from that time. I was 16 when EP died. A terrible loss for everyone.

i would like to see all the footage that they filmed with johnny- the raquetball court, johnny and actress running around inside track, johnny taking call from priscilla about how lisa was doing, and at the piano[these were filmed and johnny sure remembers filming them] i don't know why they didn't use them, alot of the bedroom footage was hard to film for the resticting size, E.P.'s room was pretty small , the kingsize bed took most of the room, as you can see in the interior shots, anyway would love to see complete story on a blue ray release, in 7.1 as it should be seen, i always thought this was a great biographical movie, and it sure was differn't from others of the time.

I always found the movie very disjointed. The footage of Graceland is about all that would catch my attention.

I thought Pauline said, "E can I fix you a sandwich or something" and Elvis said "I'll be fine, Pauline"...
