Thanksamillion Brian, That is great news so close to Christmas. Surely it will climb even higher now

The original "Elvis' Christmas album" has been one of my favourite albums every year:-)

We should inform radio stations everywhere! todaypk@rte.ie Pat Kenny remarked on hearing Elvis's "Blue Christmas", on his radio show, "Elvis really put his heart into that one!"

Now which album are we talking about? The one from 1957, or the 1971 release? I have listened to "Blue Christmas" every year since I was 5.....it's tradition for me. And Dovey, I agree no one did Christmas music like Elvis did, but you gotta love John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)"......it's a classic.....:merryxmas

as many as he can get on the charts I hope he does, every bit helps keep the memory alive. Plus I get a certian amount of validation for being an Elvis fan everytime he charts considering how long the Kings been gone. It just shows how great he was.

Hi Maurice,

Hopefully it will go even higher. I think it will, especially with the U.S. TV Guide promotion. I also love the original 'Elvis Christmas Album' - both the cover and contents. I still prefer the album covers to CD covers. I say "Let's see the mans face'!!! That's enough to sell the album anyway.

Happy Christmas.

Ok, having just seen the link, it said it reached #69 as of December 16......it's only December 8th! And what I want to know is, how did the original Christmas albums fare on the charts?:cold:

There you go Brian....Happy Christmas:-) It's one of my favourite Elvis covers. The quintissential Elvis Presley. The songs too:-)

I see the latest figures on Billboard for Elvis CDs and DVDs sales are very heartening indeed!

Posted by Elvis fan Guillermo: "That last title was a re-issue of "Elvis' Christmas Album," which originally spent four weeks at No. 1 when it was released in 1957. That same album peaked at No. 33 in 1960, No. 120 in January 1962 and No. 59 in December 1962."

Nice one Tommy:)
