If you read my earlier post correctly, I said I was "bored with the back'n'forth", not the thread itself. I check back on it when someone has replied in the vain hope that someone has actually posted some of this so-called "professional" footage (which, at this stage, I know will never happen, although I would like to be proven wrong ...)

You were the one who said you'd refrain from posting on this thread; you lasted about two minutes out of it. My disappointment at your return (great though that is) is dwarfed by my disappointment that so many other people in this thread are saying they've either seen or have this footage, yet some have the hide to charge money for the privilege of seeing three little seconds of the stuff ...

I've always said. Elvis was the King of music. I was told there wasn't a time there wasnt a camrea on Elvis. So I'm sure there's professional footage of 75% of shows in 70s but just gotta look in right place. Like I thought I found it but thanks to Christian I was wrong. Best thing is to try get video little 30 second clip and show it to Christian he knows his elvis footage that's for sure.

If this guy paid 30-50 grand for some footage (horrendously overpriced if that is indeed the case) then he needs to find a way of getting it out on DVD sooner rather than later.

EPE don't have the Hawaii footage.

Email them if you don't believe me, im not going to humour someone like you by doing that.

No matter what anybody says it's all wishes and speculation until something turns up for everyone to see.I do believe there is some existing pro footage.Not much but some.The world of Elvis collecting is full of rumours and myths created by fans.Thousands of people will look you straight in the eye and tell you they know for a fact that a spaceship crashed in Roswell and the government covered it up.They say they have the facts to prove it.That's all great but we all know how that goes.My analogy may appear bizzare but it's the same principle.People tend to believe what they want to believe.Some pro footage is out there, but much of it is just myth.

yeah it's toward the end and montaged with funeral coverage and trilogy [audio], the footage was really nice[looks as though it filmed with small bell n howell hand held] sure hope they decide to release a revamped version of the movie in 7.1 [blue ray] it would be a dream.
I looked for the footage and found it not at the end during funeral coverage, but at about 2 hours into the expanded 2:24 version during the karate footage in the White/red karate gei, the background music is the song "Kung Fu Fighting" and the clip in the powder blue is from EOT. I thought the clip looked familiar and got out EOT -in the middle of it are a series of clips from different concerts, at about 55 minutes on my counter is where the clip is-split screen on both sides the same footage except the left side has had the negative reversed, Elvis looks as if he is fighting himself. I watched the clips twice they are the same (except the split screen view each side is a smaller clip than on "This Is Elvis" which is one clip full size)
Its a great clip. Would like to see an EOT DVD with all the hours of extras they want to put in.

Just a thought. as i stated in previous posts, i will never post anything on the net, for the simple fact that it will be downloaded and copied, and people will claim as their own and also sell it, even a minute etc.. i can sympathise with you, i would be frustrated , and have bin when it comes to film, believe you me it's a costly and lengthy process to even buy this kind of stuff, you end up with so many leads , and dead ends and rumours etc... srj i hope you do get lucky , that maybe something great will be comming out on dvd -maybe by bootleggers , the spring will bring alot of great unnnoficial releases on both medias.

I have the videos of T. is Elvis and EOT The Karate Gei footage is not what I'm talking about- I know it is Super 8. I'm talking about the powder blue footage you mentioned as being 8 mm on This is Elvis, it is from EOT and is pro shot. I watched it twice and then watched the footage o EOT until I saw it where I told you it was(in split screen)I then watched it twice also, it is the same footage. I'm pretty sure EOT is 16mm. I know you must have the videos watch them and you will see it. I anyone else here has the videos of these 2 you also can look. I'm not trying to start another big debate but this I can see myself and it is the same footage. I have the theatrical version of This is Elvis and the extended version neither have any 8mm karate footage in the funeral at the end. The only powder blue footage is during the "Kung Foo Fighting" segment right before the TV person is seen in front of BMH saying Elvis has checked in....I did not remember the footage until I saw it and as I said was sure it was from EOT and after checking it was.

Well If it is 8mm it was also used in EOT and it had to come from the film they shot I would think. I mean why would they shoot the film in 16mm and then use 8mm shot in the middle as a split screen highlight of a Karate montague. I'm not one to argue either so all I'll say is regardless of what film type it is-I'm positive it is in EOT from 72. I have even looked at it again in both films and am positive it was first in EOT-72 then used in This is Elvis after Elvis died. I hope some of you other guys will give it a look.

Exactly... why is it so hard to post a 5-10 second clip to prove that something actually exists. Just stick a huge watermark, or your name on the clip, so that no one else can claim that it's theirs... or how about them screencaptures? You lose absolutely nothing when you put down a few captures of the footage, so that people will see how 'good' the quality is.

s, and i shall meet up with you in cannes , if you bring your reel of films[original, super 8, or 16mm, [providing you have any]. it is obvious that this thread has bin ruined by these little .......to all who liked/found this thread interesting i do appoligise, but i will like to always proove my self, be it in person, all may believe what you like, but i have given names/contacts of those that i have bought original film from. and yet these so called fans have not bin in touch with any of the contacts- so tell me are these people that deserve a moment of my precious time- i think not.
