New Cover for Polk Salad ?

It looks like FTD have changed the cover for "Polk Salad Annie" ...a far better choice of picture.

Hope this is the actual cover though and not a prank.

How come they've managed to use a bad picture of 1970 Elvis?

:hmm: i thought the cover was quiet nice albert,well its better then the rubbish one they were giving us before.Ok so the picture is a little dull and not very original however it is a nice picture and the layout is pretty nice.However im sure we will see a better cover realeased by one of us alternate artwork designers at some point ;) ,aron.

I think it's better then the first one we saw for this release.

Yet, Albert, is right, it could be a fantastic cover. Elvis looked wonderful in 1970. Im sure they have better pictures on hand then this one.

very true new jam and seeing how they have access to using any picture they wish its hard to believe this was the best one,thats a thing isnt it....elvis was back and kickin butt in 1970 and he was looking in top shape both mentally and physically and he was looking as ever pleasant on the eye to the ladies yet there are not many nice pictures taken :blink: ,you would of thought someone who of pulled their finger out and grabbed a camera to snap a few nice pictures,the only picture we see are either real small,bad quailty,bad lighting(elvis face looks kinda red :blush: ) or they are just black and white :angry: ,i mean look at the thats the way it was book some nice pictures but so many are black and white and the majority are from the sessions and few from the actual show,either they have locked away pictures we havent seen before and plan to release them in a book or their just bein *****s not releasing them :angry: ,aron.

Although it's not outstanding or especially creative, I think this cover is a definite improvement over the first design.

I usually hate the artwork for the FTD's...with a few exceptions....but :blink: i kinda like this one :( strange :P

Deffinately a huge improvement on the first cover that was getting a lot of criticism - mainly because of the strange cropping of the photo used of course.

However, perhaps surprising, given that the title of the disc is taken from the high energy number 'Polk Salad Annie' that more of an action shot wasn't chosen for the front.

Not a criticism though, just an observation.

You are totally correct Lonniebealestreet!!! The fantastic covers that the guys here make would be first class covers for FTD.

And Curtis, the main thing is the music, but it's nice to look at a thing of beauty as well. :P ;)

Then why are you colelting LP's? If I remember correctly you've once said that one of those reasons was that the cover was bigger than those of CD's ;)
