I think the question elvislady is asking is, "What would Elvis think of the world today, if he was still alive?"

It's a good question, but it's really hard to answer...Too bad he's not still here, so we could ask him what he thinks...

Hard to respond to this question, I really don't know what he would think. In spite of all the upheavals, war etc. I have the feeling he would still have a positive outlook on how all of it will turn out because of his strong faith in God and his country.

How would the world be if he were still here? We'd still have him here to carry us through is what I'm thinking just like he did all the years we had him. For me and I'm sure for many of you he had the capacity to make me forget all my troubles for a little while and to think positively as he always seemed to do. Certainly no saint or even close to it, but a positive influence through his charisma and talent nontheless.

His strong religous background, along with his constant searching for a higher purpose in life, would have helped him keep a positive attitude. This isn't to say he wouldn't have been touched by such events as 9/11, and I can see Elvis having been one of the entertainers in front voicing how proud he was to be an American. I remember his version of "America", and every 9/11, I listen to it. It moves me. He had that kind of power in his voice. What would have been interesting though, would have been to see what music he'd do today if he had lived.

If Elvis were alive today I think he would have mixed emotions.Firstly there is so much hatred in the world and I dont think he would like that .He certainly would not like all the rules and security that would keep his fans at a distance.
I do think he would like the internet and he would spend much of his spare time looking at the outside world. He would probably have his own website with his own chat room Where you could talk to him.:P

if elvis were alive today i think he would be doing work with bill and gloria gaither singing gospels songs and sitting in the big red leather chairs.

I guess Elvis would have lamented the loss of innocence in this savage world we live in today.
He may have travelled down to Tupelo next June to see the Elvis impersonator competition...at the Elvis Festival!
We all need a little entertainment now and then:D

Just saw The latest James Bond Movie...Elvis would have enjoyed it...I think?

Elvis would sing If I Can Dream on every concert...
