The Presleys moved into their Lauderdale Courts apartment on Winchester Street in 1949. Lauderdale Courts was a low-income housing project and the Presley's paid $35 per month in rent. They lived there until 1952 when their income exceeded the maximum amount allowed. This apartment can now be rented for the night for fans who want to sleep where Elvis did.

Thanks for the pics and info Gospel.
Have any of you ever slept there when visiting Memphis? That would be cool, I will consider it next time I go there.

I've been by this one before and after they fixed it up, and they've done a lot of work to restore it. It no doubt looks way better today then when Elvis stayed there.

Visited it in 2004. It was really nice to be there. The place had a special feeling, all the music started here.
