Hi all! I am looking for some information. I have 4 original cassettes that were recorded at Elvis concerts and then put away and forgotten about. Does anyone have a clue as to the value of them? I am looking to sell or trade them, but I don't know where to start. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks Connie Send your reply to cgboles@metrocast.net...They are
Baltimore, MD May 29th, 1977

I'm not sure of the date of the last one. Thanks again..
Unfortunatley I dont think the tapes hold any real value.I have recordings from all the shows you mentioned.I believe the Baltimore show is on a cd in my collection.A lot of these tapes have made the rounds over the years within the collector circles.

Anything can be of value to a particular person. My point is that the Baltimore show has been available for years on the cd Send Me The Light if im not wrong. The other concert's she mentioned have also been around for ages.I have the complete last vegas season from 76 as well as the complete last Tahoe season on tapes. This just means that most collector's already have these recordings. My tapes were done with a guy with 2 mikes so the quality is very high. The real value of a concert recording comes from its rarity or quality.Since these recordings have been readily available for years its makes there value less. Why buy the Baltimore tape when you can get the import cd?Even if you have a concert recording on tape that is completely unreleased the value isnt that high. The market is not what it use to be.So many imports of audience recordings just go by unnoticed.Another thing is what do you consider a good value?I saw original 8mm film from Ft Wayne 72 sell for only around $30 on ebay just a short time ago.The good old days of Elvis collecting have long past I think.I have a dealer with several hundred audience recordings available that you cant get on cd.The cost for these gems?Less than $10 each.Being original is good but audience recordings are just not that big of a deal anymore.
