Just saw this story on Yahoo, where the deceased lead singer of Nirvana (Kurt Cobain) has taken over the #1 top earning dead celebrity.

OUCH!!!!!!:'(

It won't last , They just did a big deal with publishing that accounts for nearly all of it, Elvis will be back to the top again. No biggie.


(Originally I had also added that it had happened before, because I had remembered an article saying John Lennon during the Beatles big anthology release a couple years ago had taken the top spot for a year. According to the article By Boss Man I was wrong so I edited)

I know of Kurt Cobain, but I've never heard anything he's done that I know of, and I don't really care if I ever do. I don't really care for most modern music anyway. I don't really need to though, its for a different generation, there is something for everyone.

The real "news" on that list is that Marilyn Monroe is still in the top ten (as she is most years). She's been dead over forty years!!

Yeah but Marilyn and Elvis, and James Dean they're part of this Legends thing where they're appeal is almost timeless. They're marketed so well that Most folks could probably tell you who any of them are even if they never seen their movies.

I don't know what he has done. I don't see much of him. I don't care for him either. I guess he is popular by the people who listen to him. But look at these days in times. Black people call each other the "N" word which you wouldn't hear in the 50s and 60s. Next, Charles Manson might be one of the worst killers that we ever had and now he is a hero by having his picture on shirts, stickers and so on. Hip Hop stars or at least some of them thinks Elvis was a racist. And so on.

It's a yearly list...I'm positive that Elvis will be back at #1 next year...:D
