finally there's the news that there's a remix album to be released in 2007.
here are some of the songs i think they should pick.

-let yourself go(similar song to allc and the 68 comeback version is better then the movie version, it would make a great dance club mix)

-animal instinct(a virtually unknown song that has a lot of potential but it's sound is very weak which is the case with many movie recordings that elvis made. most elvis movie recordings were good but the spineless sound failed
to show their true potential)

-are you lonesome tonight(this is a very well known song but it'd like to hear
a new background to it full with lush orcherstration, it could make a great music video with the las vegas or memphis skyline at night)

-tiger man(the sun record version was never heard, but they could take the
68 comeback version, add thundering drums and some slashing guitar riffs;
the result would be a song that kicks all forms of ***)

-change of habit(a great song that lacks the funkiness that it deserves, a remix was done for elvis-express which is very good)

-jailhouse rock(with mono songs you can only add other instruments to the
song but you can't remove the voice from the background in most cases, but in '57 elvis recorded a few stereo songs; while the sonic partition was awfull
elvis was on the right channel the entire band was on the left;they can record elvis's voice with high quality speakers and mikes and do a completely
new background)

-blue moon(this sun records classic is brilliant, however it's very sparse in
instrumentation, with more additions it would be great)

-kiss me quick(a perfect dance song, the focus would be on adding a stronger
bass line)

-city by the night(an imagery inducting song, that would work great with a
strong piano presence)

-maybelline(an early live recording that lacks in instruments again; listening
to this song you can see where rap got it's roots from)

-i can help(an uptempo fun song that can be pushed to rock even harder)

-i'll be there(felton jarvis did a remix of this song and it was brilliant, this is a
song that should have been a big hit, but for whatever reason it wasn't)

-big boss man(the live 70's treatment would be perfect for this song; it rocks )

-u.s. male(a very cool talking blues song that can be given a hip hop treatment)

-i'm moving on(similar to the previous song although it leans more towards
rock n roll

-i was the one(one of the finest songs he ever recorded and one of his best
vocal performances, the one dimensional mono sound doesn't do it justice)

-c'mon everybody(this song was born to rock, plus it makes a great inclusion
in viva las vegas)

-girl happy(another fun uptempo song that could use an upgrade)

hopefully '07 will be a great year for elvis music.
